Brad Taylor I can't answer for the entire Israeli Defense Force (as I'm sure that IDF air force uses call signs, etc) but in this case Aaron and Shoshanna's prior military unit didn't use them - just as the majority of US military units don't. It's not a US/Israeli thing. It's a unit thing. Since Shoshana/Carrie was operating with the Taskforce, they gave her a callsign.

Considering your (likely accurate) murderous portrayal of Vladmir Putin, I was curious. Do writers (not just yourself) feel worried about blowback or relation when portraying real life sitting politicians, especially despotic ones, especially when using their real names?
