Writer's block is something many writers deal with. I step away from the novel and write poetry or read other materials. I also keep a notebook with me wherever I go. In it, I write words or phrases that come to mind. I reach for that notebook whenever I feel I am at loss for words. It's like a treasure trove of beautiful phrases.
