Goodreads asked N.V. Bruno:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

N.V. Bruno Well I did feel disconnected from my characters and the plot as a whole for over a month since I had back to back interviews with business schools and had to focus on further formalities after I was accepted at one. And it's difficult to get back to continuing the story. But if you have a structure already laid out before you even begin writing your book, and if you have decided what you are going to build up on in each chapter, half your problems are solved. You then read what you have already written, over and over again if you have to, until you build your momentum. You'll be right on track. This break can, in fact, give you new ideas to incorporate. However, don't panic if you run out of ideas. Panic is the worst enemy of creative thinking. Calm your mind and let it wander. Take your time, don't rush. It often takes a considerable amount of time to make something memorable.
