Where do you find the inspiration for your books? Do your characters ever hijack the direction of the story?

Eldonna Edwards I mostly find inspiration from my experiences, both as a child and as an adult. THIS I KNOW was inspired by wondering how my dad would have handled something that challenged his core beliefs. Would he remain rigid in his black-and-white world or would he bend to encompass a grander understanding of love? CLOVER BLUE was inspired by my lifelong fascination with communal living. My current work-in-progress came to me over a decade ago while reading about past-life-regression. I've just recently gone back to work on it.

My characters ALWAYS hijack the story. Sometimes I have to rein them back in but most of the time they take me in fascinating directions that I'm delighted to explore!
