Goodreads asked Heath Daniels:

How do you get inspired to write?

Heath Daniels There is no "how". The inspirations just come to me. As mentioned in the Afterword to "Three Kisses", the inspirations were kicking and screaming in my head so that I would have no peace until I sat down to write.

As mentioned on book covers and in the Afterwords of the books, the inspirations are to entertain as well as inform and foster acceptance and tolerance, very important aspects. Inspirations also come about how to create characters and choose locations. As mentioned in the Afterwords and on book covers, all characters are persons I have encountered directly or indirectly, not always in pleasant circumstances. Locations are inspired to bring life to otherwise obscure places, many of which are charitably less-than-charming. In addition, there is inspiration to bring more life to well known places like Washington, DC, and San Antonio.
