Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Heath Daniels As described above, inspirations just come to me. This is third in a series and characters "speak" to me about what they want me to do with them next. Inspiration is also guided by a small amount of research within narrow contexts. For example, a main character was ready for a promotion within the national office of the U.S. Attorney General. The logical next step was in a large district office. A small amount of research and the location just popped out to me: the Western District of Texas based in San Antonio, one of the largest if not the largest in both geographic size and population.
