Goodreads asked Troy Hooker:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Troy Hooker There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to writer's block, it has a mind of its own!
Usually, if I am stressed, tired, or distracted by the many things life throws at me, any writing I attempt will be marginal at best and I will likely have to revisit those sections later with a good eraser.
My goal is to write when I can write, which is usually just a little every day. If I try to force myself into long writing hours I find my words to be uninspiring, choppy, or unclear.
