First let me start out with I honestly love every single one of your books and you’re actually the author that got me really into reading (now I’m obsessed with books and I blame you ;)) Anyways, since you write all these brilliant novels, I wanted to know how you keep each character’s personality unique and exciting. Do you just randomly select certain characters to be witty, smart, or clueless?

Kasie West Thank you! I'm so happy you love my books and that they sparked your love for reading. :) That is great to hear! As for my characters, it's not so random as that. I usually have the basic plot for a book so I try to figure out what personality traits would fit well with that plot. What kind of person would grow within that plot, what they'd need to learn, what weaknesses and strengths they'd have if they needed to face certain situations. But sometimes they surprise me and as I'm writing I realize they are actually a different way than I imagined they should or would be.
