Shabnam asked Elizabeth George:

What advice do you have for writers who write about foreign places and times, who may not readily have access to visiting those places for research? What's the best way to maintain authenticity? Thank you!

Elizabeth George Library library library. Travel books. Google Earth. It's tough when you can't go there, but you can manage it. Read one of Saul Black's books. He writes about places in the US without ever going there.
