It is troubling, at least to someone my age, though it may not be as off-putting to a teenager. I think those who responded "depends on the teen" are correct. It is, in my opinion, one of the most worthwhile books I've read in helping to understand the culture and mindset of the Afghani people, and the ordeals they've endured. (less)
