Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Louise Carson The Cat Vanishes, due out from Signature Editions in Oct. 2018, came out of the first Maples Mystery, The Cat Among Us. I so loved the setting and characters (and the cats, of course!), that as soon as I finished the first one, I wanted to continue with the second. There are a third and fourth book in the series already written but I guess we'll have to wait a while for them to be published!
