Goodreads asked S.D. Sheldon:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

S.D. Sheldon Write, write, write.

I've always found that writer's block is a belief in the mindset that you have to be inspired to write some great piece of literature and if that immortal nugget of wisdom can't be pushed out, then something is wrong with the connection between yourself and your muse.

In practice, writing for me is sitting down every day and putting words down. Some days the process is sublime and the words flow. Some days they are like thick ochre jelly, fighting to not make an appearance in the world.

I like to have a framework of what I'm writing, so I tend to use varying levels of plot beats. The beauty of this method is that you get the work done. It doesn't allow for writer's block.
