Was there any forums in particular that inspired the forums in Eliza and Her Monsters?
Francesca Zappia
There were! The Accio Firebolt forums were the inspiration for that. AF closed down quite a while ago...I think it got hacked. But I spent a lot of time there and I really miss it. Ahh what a fun time! You got sorted into your Hogwarts House and could hang out with your housemates and talk about random stuff in the common room, you'd go through Hogwarts years based on how many posts you'd made, you could roleplay through classes or in different parts of the castle. My favorite part was one thread where you could "claim" objects that showed up in the HP books, then put in your signature what you owned. Someone got the giant squid. (I got Ravenclaw's diadem. It was SUPER hard to be the first one to claim a horcrux.)
I'd heard of wars being fought in the Harry Potter fandom in other places, usually over ships, but I distinctly remember AF being a place where everyone was just there to have a good time. Absolutely my fondest memories of fandom.

First of all, I love loved loved! Made you up. It was one of my all time faves. However, I am just slightly confused as to what was real and what wasn't. Was everything just in Alex's head? Did any of her adventures actually happen, was miles real?
Thanks heaps!

Hi! I just read Eliza and her Monsters, and I absolutely loved it! Why are two different book covers? Did you ever thought of making a sequel to that book? I like how it starts simple, plain, and eventually escalates to emotional rollercoaster. I don't feel like characters in stories, but this was different. Especially when Eliza thought a lot about Wellhouse Turn, and Wallace came. How did you do this? Thanks!

I've been a big fan of your writing for a while, specifically of Eliza and Her Monsters! (Although Made up up is also incredible!). I was just wondering, what fandoms have you been in, and what effects have those fandoms had on your writing? Thank you and have a great day! :)
