Hi. At the very beginning of The Last Boy and Girl in the World, you mention that the book is based on real events. Where did something like this happen, where a dam breaks and a town is flooded? Or more specifically, on what city is the book based? Thanks

Siobhan Vivian Yes! It's actually based on two real events...the demolished town of Livermore, PA and the destruction of Oso, WA.
