Michael J. Sullivan
Hey Kimberly. Yes! I was born in Michigan, grew up, went through high school there, married, and had one of my three children. I started out life in Detroit and when my father died my mom moved us to the suburbs (Novi) because that is where my older sister and her husband had moved. I lived there through high school, and when Robin and I married, we bought a home in Southfield Michigan.
We left the state around 1985. We had gone on a trip to New England and I fell in love with Vermont and so I tasked Robin with finding a way to make a move there possible (not an easy assignment given Robin was the bread-earner and Vermont isn't exactly known as a software Mecca. Anyway, we lived there for a bit more than a decade and the company where she had become the president merged with a company in North Carolina. We spent a decade there, and when I decided I wanted to write books again (after being away from it for more than decade), Robin found a job in the Washington D.C. area. We lived there (still have a house in fact) for 10 years and now we reside in the Shenandoah Valley (where Robin built me an amazing writing cabin).
The TL:DR version: Born and raised in Michigan, but also lived in Vermont, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Hello Michael, I am a young reader from Spain, and I only wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed "Theft of Swords", and how I am willing to read as much as you publish about Royce, Hadrian and the world of Elan. Your book made fall in love with reading again, and it was the first one in a long time that I enjoyed to such a point, so thank you! By the way, will The First Empire be very related to Riyira? Thanks already

Not a question but a thank you? I just finished Myth last week and started Swords today. I'm really enjoying them, & I wanted to say thank you for something I noticed. You have some really strong female characters, both grown women & girls, and they aren't hyper-sexualized. That's really refreshing for the fantasy genre. I hope the series continues to feature such positive portrayals of women. Thanks!

Hi Micheal. I just finished reading the Age of Empyre ebook and I have to say it was just brilliant. It answers so many questions and creates so many more. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next series and I hope that it tells us how the Empire falls. My question is, will you also write about what ultimately happens between Trilos and Turin?
