Taliah
Taliah asked Lois Lowry:

What motivated you to write The Gossamer or what was the purpose?

Susan Halley
Susan Halley asked Lois Lowry:

One critic in Pittsburgh stated that THE GIVER is following THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT. Does it annoy you that this person doesn't seem to be aware that YOUR book came out in 1993, long before either of the others were published? As a fan of your work, it certainly annoys me! Thank you. Susan Halley

A.R. Curry
A.R. Curry asked Lois Lowry:

When The Giver was written, I'm sure people weren't as sensitive about all the innocent touching that goes on in the book. But nowadays, scenes like the bath scene or the giver putting his hands on the receiver's bare skin unfortunately stands out as uncomfortably sexual. Do you find yourself shying away from these situations now, or do you still see the innocent beauty in it and write hoping that others will as well?
