April A. Taylor The only way to transition from an aspiring writer to a writer is to write! It's also important to read many different authors who are working in your desired genre(s). Don't be afraid to make mistakes during your first draft, but also don't be afraid to ruthlessly cut stuff out to make your final draft better.
