HI! My middle school reading team just won Champions' Choice and they are thinking of selecting your book Blood Will Tell as their choice! Our librarian is concerned about our choice because it is the second book. Will the reader be lost if they do not read Body In The Woods first? Is it a companion book or does it build like a series? I tried to write the book in such a way that you would not be lost if you read out of order. You do miss seeing some relationships between characters build from the first to the second book. Like in the first book, the main characters do not start as friends, but they do in the second book. I really like Blood Will Tell because it was inspired by two real cases. So I don't think it's a deal breaker.

I have read three of your books which are "The Night She Disappeared", "Girl Stolen:, and "The Girl Was Suppose to die."I loved all three of them, anyways why do you always write about someone getting taken? Don't get me wrong I love your books but I always wanted to know how you can get so many ideas off of one topic.
