Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Gareth Otton The idea came from the same place as the ideas for all of my books, I ask myself a "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" question.

So my books that are out at the moment started with a random thought one day of, "Wouldn't it be cool if in exchange for letting a ghost continue to live through you, you get to use their talents and knowledge as your own?"

From that point in it's a case of asking myself more questions about how this would work, what kind of conflicts having this ability could lead to... things like that. Sooner or later enough of these questions will have been asked that the answers will start to form a story in my head.
