(view spoiler)[I've read hundreds of books and Wrath is the only one I've ever gotten emotional and had tears run down my face while reading. It was when the whole gang was together in Drassil (I think) and they presented Corban with the arm band. These characters had just come so far together and built such strong relationships. I had to read the page twice. I loved the series so much, I've been chasing the dragon ever since. ? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Samuel,
It's great to hear from you.
It might sound callous, but I'm so pleased to hear that I made you cry. :) Sorry. Moving a reader emotionally is the Holy Grail to many writers, so to hear that a scene in Wrath has brought you to tears has really made my day :) Family and friendships are very important to me, and are a thread you'll find running through all of my writing, so the scene you're talking about was an important one to me. I'm honoured to hear that you've enjoyed the books so much, and really appreciate you taking the time to let me know.
Regarding chasing the dragon, if you'd like to go back to the Banished Lands, you can. I'm writing a new series called Of Blood and Bone. Book 1, A Time of Dread, is finished and has been recently published. It is set in the Banished Lands, taking place 130 years after the events of Wrath. So, a new story and a new cast of characters, mostly...
Also, I've written a short story about Corban and the gang, set a few years after the end of Wrath. It's called The Greatest Battle, and you can find it in the anthology The Art of War.
I hope that helps, and thank you for taking the time to message.
Truth and Courage,
John

Took a much needed week off work and did some research and came across the Faithful and the Fallen series. I started reading Malice and by the end of my week off had finished It. I was sucked into the Banished Lands and all of its' inhabitants. Will be starting on the second book tomorrow and lucky for me Valour came out today. Do you have any dreams/plans of seeing the series adapted into a TV show/movie?
