Do you think growing up in a small town affected your style of writing? If so, how?

Charlene Johnson I come from a family of serious readers. Growing up in a small town and spending a lot of time reading paranormal book series like Dark Shadows and a variety of historical romances and gothic novels. It gave me a broad perspective of book styles and formats. Also, I've always had an active imagination since I was a child. My mom said she could send me to my bedroom as a punishment and I would lay on my bed and daydream.
