Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch I love reading and I love writing. If I can find a novel that explores a topic I'm intensely interested in, I'll read it. But if I can't find that book, then I do the research myself and then I write it. The process of writing for me is very similar to reading -- it's an exploration. I don't pre-plan my books. I do intense research of the historical times and figure out what individual people would be confronted with. Then I put my characters in that time and place and run behind them with my keyboard, writing down everything they say and do.
