I love reading and I love writing. If I can find a novel that explores a topic I'm intensely interested in, I'll read it. But if I can't find that book, then I do the research myself and then I write it. The process of writing for me is very similar to reading -- it's an exploration. I don't pre-plan my books. I do intense research of the historical times and figure out what individual people would be confronted with. Then I put my characters in that time and place and run behind them with my keyboard, writing down everything they say and do.

Thank you so much for writing Making Bombs for Hitler! It is one of my favorite books ever! I couldn't put it down once I started reading. I literally read for two hours straight until it was finished, and the ending made me cry because it was so sweet! Do you think that you will keep writing books set in WWII?
