Mary-Katherine McKenzie
Mary-Katherine McKenzie asked Craig Schaefer:

Hi Craig! I've been fortunate enough to read most of your books in the order in which they came out - but to a newcomer, how should I suggest approaching the series? Read one series at a time? Or in the order in which they came out? Or is there a recommended list somewhere? Thanks in advance!

Craig Schaefer Great question! There used to be a reading-order list, but it's off the site for revamping since it's wayyy out of date (it's missing several books and a couple of others had different titles before my publisher changed 'em in pre-release). I'm trying to get that back up soon-ish.

I think it really comes down to a new reader sampling a first book in whichever series looks appealing. If it's their jam, keep going. Nothing is really lost by not reading them in published order or jumping between series, there's just a few little side references here and there that will make sense once they've seen everything.

(For an off-the-cuff, non-spoilery example, at the end of Glass Predator, Harmony and her team spend a night in the same penthouse suite that Daniel stayed in during The White Gold Score, and notice the plastered-over bullet hole. It doesn't really matter which story you read first, the connection can be noticed in either direction.)
