How long did it did you get your first book published? Did you hire an editor yourself? Any advice would be very welcome for another North Carolina writer girl. :)

I was actively writing and working toward publication for five years before my first book was published with a small digital-first press. It was another year after that before I got an agent and a traditional publishing contract with a large publisher. My advice is simple: don't give up! It can take years with lots of ups and downs, but the only way to achieve your goals is to keep going.

I won a copy of your book, I was so excited to start reading it on my road trip from El Paso, Tx to Baltimore, Md when some jerk robbed me in Oklahoma City, OK. Sadly they took everything that ever mattered including my file box with your book in it. I do look forward to reading it one day. When will it go on sale?
