This is our Book Club read. I feel as if I'm being punished. While there are sections I found interesting, the author would take the story in another story or tangent. Copious words. Early beginnings of the novel had no punctuation and sentences were very long. I did a lot of skimming. And got very frustrated and tired. Not sure I'll finish it although I'd like to find out why his mother left him?
