Do ALL of Karin Slaughter's books feature as deeply disturbing material as The Good Daughter? I really enjoyed reading the book generally (as well as Blindsighted), but my goodness, do they have to go THERE? I want to read more of her books, but I don't know if I can handle the depths to which she takes her stories. I'm still shuddering weeks after reading The Good Daughter.

I started Kisscut and stopped reading when I saw where it was going. Slaughter is a good writer but I am choosing not to go this route of sexual violence. I do not know about her other works.(less)
