Goodreads asked David Beckler:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

David Beckler "Writers block" can have different causes. It can mean I'm not into either the characters or the story in which case one or other needs to change. Some story-lines just don't have the steam to get to the finish line - what started as a great idea might fizzle out - so you need to cut your losses and work on something else. Other times I'm not sure where to go next so I'll leave that story and work on something else. I felt stuck on my previous WIP but realised there was nothing wrong with it, I just wanted to work on another story more. I'd been thinking about it for a few months, so I left the first one and am cracking on with the new one.
