Goodreads asked Brian Herbert:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Brian Herbert I’ve never really had writer’s block. I didn’t begin trying to write creatively until I was 28 years old, and after that, I wrote, and wrote, and wrote. For me, the problem was not writer’s block. It was selecting the right things to write about, and telling the stories in an effective, entertaining manner. I have written hundreds of thousands of words of unpublished material—just part of the dues I have paid for eventually being able to see millions of my words published.
