I just read the brief synopsis, is it a "time traveller's wife" rehash?

Bob Weiniger No, it's actually a rehash of SciFi Grand Master Robert Heinlein's "Time Enough For Love" , the story of Lazarus Long, a member of a group of extremely long lived humans known as The Howard Familes. A superbly written stoery, well worth reading today.
Aimee Not at all. For starters, as other people have explained, How to Stop Time isn't a time travel novel - the protagonist moves forwards through time as we all do, he just lives longer.
Also The Time Traveller's Wife is a romance told from the point of view of the wife of a time traveller, whereas this book is told from the MC's perspective. There is some romance in this, but it's a secondary plot line rather than the main point of the story.
Crissy T. No, it's nothing like "The Time Traveller's Wife." There is no time travelling involved. He (the protagonist, Tom Hazard) basically has a rare condition that causes him to age very slowly - 1:15 in years if compared to an average human being. He's lived for centuries, he's 400+ years old.
TK It's more like Ann Brashares' "My Name is Memory."
