I visited upper Canada and was fortunate enough to encounter a white wolf. Thank God I was in the car! But somehow that wolf inspired me. I had to have a wolf in my book. Then I thought, not just a wolf, but a pack of wolves led by a white wolf. They will be after Bronson. Why? What is he doing in the woods? Where is he? That led to What Lies Beyond the Fence.
