Mikayla Koleff The book is called "The Alchemist" because the boy ends up realizing all along in his journey that he too is an alchemist. The alchemist that he met helped him discover his personal legend - being an alchemist. This book goes to show that life is not about the destination, it is about the journey. The boy would not have discovered his personal legend, met Fatima and met The Alchemist if he didn't travel to The Pyramids for his treasure.
