If you're asking about the original that was published in Spanish in the early 1600s, then... I'm not sure why it matters. Don Quixote was originally published in two volumes, ten years apart. And let's just say printing technology was a little different in 1615!

There are abridged versions of Don Quixote. It should be easy to find a copy of the Signet Classics paperback containing the abridged translation by Irishman Walter Starkie, originally published in the 1950s, ISBN 9780451532299, 560 pages.
