Goodreads asked Lori-Suzanne Dell:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Lori-Suzanne Dell Got a great story? Got an idea that is amazing? Are you just dying to tell your story? Then, my advice is this. Shut up! A writer's creativity is precious. The story that is created must be told. Therefore, being a writer, your story belongs on the page. Don't waste your gift by sitting around telling it all to your friends or family. The ability to finish a novel is an endurance race. Many writers run out of steam and never begin, let alone finish, their work because they run out of steam. Keep the story churning in your mind. let the steam-pressure build. If you open your mouth you expel steam. You lose pressure. Let the pressure grow and when you can no longer contain it, then sit down and let it out. But, put it on the page, no in your friends' ears.
