I absolutely loved Sufficiently Advanced Magic! Do you know if book 2 will have an audiobook release as well? Also, what was your inspiration for the magic system? :) Have a great day!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The sequel will almost definitely have an audio release, but it usually takes at least a few more months after the digital and paperback versions are finished. This is because once the story is edited, we need to find time in the narrator's schedule for them to record the book, and then the audio still needs to be cleaned up, etc.
My main inspiration from the magic system was to create a world where mechanics like "character classes" and "levels" exist like in video games, but in a way that is visible to characters within the setting and incorporated into their society.
Some of the Final Fantasy games get into this, with specific crystals unlocking "job classes", and Bravely Default takes it even further with characters being able to pass on their character classes to others. I tried to take this and extrapolate it into the setting as a whole, and blend it as organically as possible into the their culture, religion, etc.

As a follow-up to my magical construct question. Why is it all the characters that have experienced an option so far have a universal opinion on the matter when as far as I can tell from the world setting summoning and disposing of such entities are commonplace. Is there some kind of social movement that can attribute to all these characters with different backgrounds and experience coming to the same conclusions?
