Goodreads asked K.M. Harrell:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

K.M. Harrell Usually, I do something different from writing. Like go clean the house. Or maybe read someone who inspires you. I often read in the genre I'm writing in, so I always have good examples to consider. I read for enjoyment and instruction. A big part of writing--for me at least, is reading. You could also copy out a famous author's scene, word for word. That can get you into the rhythm of what you are trying to do. If these don't work, just leave the house and take your mind off it for a while.
