In the movie the flashes of the past includes many impactful moments, but only one that was devastating, the Vietnam War clip; how was that one decided on rather than maybe the Holocaust images or any others for that matter?

Lois Lowry I wasn't involved in making those decisions and of course they couldn't include EVERYTHING but I think they did a great job and those visual images were stunning. I was particularly moved by the young man in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square...such an example, appropriate to the story, of how brave young people can change the world.
