I've gotten stuck on things that aren't under contract. I always finish the ones under contract - getting paid and not letting people down is a powerful incentive. I have one book I'm kind of stuck on right now, but it's an adult book and isn't under contract. I don't think I have any other half-finished books, but I do have five or six that never found a home.
