This is not actually a question about your books..just asking for some tips for a new story I'm writing. Hi! My name is Gylfie, and I have started writing a mystery book, about a 11-year-old girl who helps the local police solve the mystery of who killed her brother. Do you have any tips on how to make the story super interesting, and grab the reader's attention in the first paragraphs?

First you have to put yourself inside the head of an 11 year old girl. Don't make her too smart and sassy but give her a really compelling motive for wanting to help the police

I've come to know and like the ongoing characters and appreciate the way stories develop around them from book to book.
