Hi, Sorry for reaching out to you on this forum but did not know of any other way. I saw you posted something about Enriched Enrollment. I am a mother that lost my child to the opioid epidemic. I testified before the FDA in March partly about that trial. Is there any way you can contact me?

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your son, Emily.
Opioids are so powerful and addictive that even the most non-addictive personality can become addicted to them. It's a tragedy doctors are not looking for other alternatives at times. At the very least I think side effects and addiction risks should be expressed in great detail by doctors to anyone subscribed them.
We are up against an out of control Big Pharma, an arrogant medical academic establishment and certain corrupt politicians who receive financial payments for keeping things "exactly as they are"... Then you can possibly factor in the crimes of insurance sector as well.... This all ties in to the opioid epidemic... In short, it's complicated, as you know... and I don't trust the FDA either... So I agree there needs to be an appointed govt official specifically focused on this issue...
Unfortunately the public is pretty naive on the subject of addictions resulting from prescription drugs... So it goes without saying you are doing very important work in spreading the word. If people like you didn't do that, then many millions of people will never hear the cautionary tales and naively take whatever the doctor gives them without due diligence.
I just invited you to join a Goodreads discussion group I founded, Underground Knowledge, which looks to expose many underreported issues facing our society...Including medical corruption...We have over 7,000 members and are becoming an influential forum considering all the discussion threads show up in Google searches for anyone to read.
