Muriel Ellis Pritchett
I worked 10 years for a major Southern research university. At regional and national conferences I often "talked shop" and compared notes with faculty and staff members from other universities and colleges across the US and Canada. Based on my experiences and theirs, I created a strong female character whose dream is crushed because of politics. The story is about how she copes with her defeat.
