I find every character and their build up amazing and fasinating. I find it really interesting how Valek stopped calling Yelena 'Yelena' starting from the second book but 'Love'. What characteristics do you think Valek has? If an actor would play the role of Valek, which actor would you pick? How old is Valek when Yelena is 20? How old was Valek when he started working for Commander? Thanks for your time!!!!

Maria V. Snyder Hello again Nancy! Valek has many good qualities - he is loyal, will do anything to protect the people he loves and is very smart. He keeps calm in dangerous situations and doesn't panic. On the flip side, he's overprotective, and rather cocky and is not plagued with guilt over those he has killed. I've had a few readers suggest Tom Hiddleston to play Valek, I also think Raffaello Balzo and Luke Evans would work as well.

Valek was 33 in Poison Study and was 17 when he started working for the Commander.

Is there an intended reading order of your books? I just started shadow study and it seemed like there were parts of it that might have been further explained in the other series? Or are the references to unknown situations supposed to add onto the fact that it's been over 6 years since we've last been with the characters?

I just finished Dawn Study and would really love to read the three short stories that come after it, Diaper, Wedding and After study but they are no longer on your website and I can't find them anywhere? I was wondering if there is someplace I could read them because I am so curious to see the ending of Valek and Yelena's story! Thank you so much for the amazing books though!
