Before writing IMMORAL CODE, I'd worked for years on a YA speculative fiction manuscript, and my first inspiration was to switch gears from the heavy darkness of that book! I wanted to do something fun, something with more lightness and humor. I also adore stories about friends who work together and build each other up, which is ultimately what IMMORAL CODE is about.
