(view spoiler)[Hello Fiona, Just read The Address and loved it. How do you make key decisions on the fates of characters? For example - Sara's life (not literally) is sacrificed for Mrs. Camden's. In this example, readers are rooting for Sara, but yet another twist arrives. I guess two questions, the one I asked first and then, how did this particular plot line come about? Thank you kindly. Hi Nancy - thanks for your great question! I plot out the book before I sit down to do the first draft, and the first step is to figure out the characters and their goals. Then I figure out ways to thwart them from reaching their goals. (Love that word, "thwart"). I enjoy reading books with a good twist, and so as I write I'm considering ways to surprise my readers, while still keeping true to the time period and the characters.

Thx so much for those insights. I’m adding them to my presentation. I was delighted this afternoon at my book club meeting when our hostess for next month selected The Address as our book for October. I can’t wait to talk about it. Since I’ve already read it, i’m Going to read The Dollhouse. I’m interested to know how didyou settle on the dual timeline for all 3 books?

Good morning Fiona, I am doing a final exam for a Digital Media class I am taking. I previously used the Lions of Fifth Avenue for an assignment in creating a book trailer. I will be again using the Lions of Fifth Avenue for my final project, as it is one of my favorite books. I just wanted to thank you for writing your stories. I was wondering which one is your personal favorite?
