If you absolutely had to become some kind of supernatural, part-human creature, what would you choose? For instance, you could be a vampire, ware-creature, shapeshifter, honest politician, demon, etc.

Shapeshifter sounds like a good one. No apparent drawbacks, just a new power to use when you like. I think I'd use it full time to be younger, better looking, with more hair, and occasionally go to the supermarket as President Obama just for the reactions.

Hi Mark, I just finished Road Brothers, which immediately sent me to re-re-re reading Prince of Thorns. I won't elaborate (too long) on how big a fan I am, read and re-read all you wrote. Was I right to detect a "brotherly'' quip at a fellow writer in the footnote of Choices ? Something about the temperature of revenge ?
