Goodreads asked Shoeburn Ruffet:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Shoeburn Ruffet Start small with quotes, snippets, and obervations. It may be something someone important has said to you, or words you've read on a street sign. Don't get overwhelmed and go slowly. There's so much out there that you need to read aloud, feel how the words form and sound in your mouth, almost like you're an infant. Good writing will be arresting and make you wonder how old you are and if you've ever really learned anything at all.
