Angela Kotku is just the nickname Boris had for her that everyone adopted, including Theo. Her real name is Katya.

Neeraj I'm fairly sure that the author (having not written "Kotku" for ~300 pages) misremembered her name as "Katya." My theory is substantiated by this Goodreads review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

If this isn't a sign that Tartt got lost in the length of her book (much like her readers), not sure what is. Where was the editor?!
