Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
The book all started as a column in my school newspaper called "The DDS Detective." DDS stands for Dartmouth Dining Services, our school's dining provider, and each week, I would come up with a recipe that students could make using only the ingredients found in the dining halls. Because of the column, Dartmouth Dining Services created a position for me as a student consultant, and I got to learn about the kinds of ingredients available at dining halls across the country.
So, I decided it was high time to make my recipes "universal," and the book was born!
