I write when I feel inspired to write. I'm not the type of writer who decides to write a certain number of words per day or per week. That doesn't work for me. The people who say you have to view writing as a job and simply put in your time and do the work...well, I think they are batshit crazy. Or maybe I'm the one who's crazy. But to me, when I try to set writing "goals" I'm functioning merely as a robot. That's not creativity. That's not art.
