Hi! Happy New Year to you!
No, I am actually not. Though my mother was born in the Philippines, her parents were both born in China. However, she insists that she is 1/4 Filipino, but I am not sure how true that is. The reason why this is untrustworthy is because her father's middle name was "Santiago", which, during that time which was around 1918 (my grandfather was very, very old when he passed), was not a Filipino surname yet. It was in fact South American, or perhaps, Spanish or Portuguese. But in the event that is true, that would make me 1/8. 😊 In any event, I am 1/8 of a "Santiago". 😊 I plan to do a genealogy test soon as I can, because my dad did a genealogy test and the results truly fascinate me! 😊 When I do that, I will surely share my results with the world!
Thank you so much for your fascinating question! Do keep in touch! I have a newly opened Facebook Group called "Home of C. JoyBell C.", do join us there! 💝
