Hayley
Hayley asked Lois Lowry:

During interviews, you've said that you had originally conceived of The Giver as an utopia. At what point did you realise this concept would no longer work?

Ashley
Ashley asked Lois Lowry:

As you started writing Gathering Blue, did you know that it was going to lead into The Messenger and eventually tie The Giver's loose ends up? The multiple story lines in the sequels were amazing. At first, I was completely unaware that the books would continue off one another! Movie sequels?

Manni
Manni asked Lois Lowry:

I first heard about "The Giver" in eng. class, where a teacher from the US read it to us. The title and author got lost that time. It gave me such a good (& long lasting) impression the first time and I'm glad I agreed with myself later when I found it. "The Giver" is loved in many countries, and it's been a decade since it was first published. What do you think about such a good reception and success of the book?
